A Family Homestay is an Important
Key to Learning Spanish ....

Staying with a family is an important part of the overall educational experience. This provides students with the opportunity to practice language skills and learn more about the people, culture and life in Guatemala. Also, this is an economical way of obtaining a "total immersion" experience.

Our family is an ever-changing group of immediate family , other relatives, and friends; which is to say that you’ll fit right in. We are blessed with a big, beautiful house, and we always enjoy filling it with guests.

I have 2 daughters, Helga, and Astrid. Also here are: my younger brother Eduardo, an engineering student at the University of San Carlos, his Fiance Cindy, who is currently studying Computer Science, my mother, "Mama Chaito", who serves up great tasting and nutritious home cooked meals and Tio Lionel, who especially enjoys spending time conversing with students .... And, of course, I’am Gladis.

Sometimes, there isn’t room for all the students to stay with our family (i.e. to eat and sleep with us), in which case some students stay with one of the other nearby families, all of whom are just as wonderful. Even so, there are plenty of opportunities to interact with the myself and the chicos. In fact, then I suppose you would have two families!

NOTE: We have just started construction on a new building on the property with 4 classrooms and 3 additional private rooms.

TRADITIONAL HOMESTAY

Our school places great importance on positive home-stay experiences. Therefore, we maintain careful selection of appropriate families and homes. Homes are clean, have hot water and all within a short walk from both the school and "Parque Central". Families provide 3 nutritious meals per day, 7 days per week. We can easily accommodate vegetarian and any other dietary requirements.

20 hours of just classes - Weekly $130.00 US Dollars
25 hours of just classes - Weekly $150.00 US Dollars

20 hours of classes + Homestay - Weekly $170.00 US Dollars
25 hours of classes + Homestay - Weekly $190.00 US Dollars

* Homestay prices includes Breakfast Lunch & Dinner - 7 days a week and Free Inernet use.
